QUIZ FRIDAY ... Multiple choice ... matching, fill in the black. Know the meaning of words, their part of speech, and their synonyms.
We completed a discussion of how to categorize our Summer Reading characters into categories:
Dynamic Round
Dynamic Flat
Static Round
Static Flat
We discussed COW to support the categorization (Filet Mignon ... a GENEROUS portion).
We discussed CLAIM, DATA, WARRANT format ... the data is evidence from story (quotes, page numbers, etc.)
I passed out a character and conflict chart. That will be due MONDAY. Details for completion will be explained in all blocks Friday before the quiz. If you misplace your chart, or wish a NEW one, just print a copy from the homepage of the class website.
