Book Buy Back Information

Keep Writers Choice for NEXT YEAR

Message I was told to pass on to you:

FRESHMEN, SOPHOMORES, & JUNIORS: two days for book returns; Wednesday, June 3 and Thursday, June 4, both days from 7 am – 1:30 pm. Underclassmen are NOT allowed to return books during the Senior return.

All returns and buy-backs take place in the ASB room.

·If a student fails to return any textbooks here on campus, it now becomes their responsibility to return their books directly to Follett through the mail. To do this, students must access the online bookstore through Saints’ website and click on the link for book returns. If students do this, they are financially responsible for the shipping costs. Therefore, don’t mess around and miss the on-campus returns.

·If a student “rented” a book, it must be returned or their parents’ account will be charged full price for a replacement book.

Use 30 words, 10 from each lesson (for example 10 from lesson 7, 10 from lesson 8, 10 from lesson 9), in your story. BOLD the word and after the word in parenthesis indicate the unit # (for example 7).
Your story must be 500-750 words. Indicate word count in parenthesis after last word.
Include a 3 to 5 word title that matches CONTENT of your story.
BONUS...illustrate your story (neatly - no computer derived images) + 10
This is a story...it must fulfill story guidelines and have a beginning, middle, and an end.

Topics from which to chose...you can not use a topic more than once.

1. There is a lesson in everything. Write about a time you learned a lesson and how it impacted your behavior since then.

2. Imagine you are talking to a friend you have not seen in a few years. Start your story with "Do you remember the time we tried..." OR "Do you remember the time we asked..."

3. Write about a time you were nervous about trying a new food. Why were you fearful? How did you get over the fear? Explain.

4. Start your story with: "I can't believe I was afraid of..." OR "I can't believe I was intimidated by..." or "I can't believe how many years its been since..."

5. Make believe...set your story on another planet...in the year 2050.

6. Make believe...set your story in a cave in Lascaux France ... before civilization.

7. Make believe...technology is more advanced than today. (Think BNW). Use your imagination...
