Welcome Back after a LONG weekend!
Today you turned in Macbeth Acts 4 and 5 WS. All papers that had not been returned were returned.
We read more of the play aloud and discussed as we read. Today the focus was to pay particular attention to:
1. WEATHER IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE PLOT/CHARACTER'S ACTIONS
2. THE ROLE OF MASCULINITY/FEMINITY (Who "runs" the Macbeth household?
Does it follow traditional gender stereotypes?)
The first Tuesdays With Rene'BONUS opportunity began. Brave New World movie will last for a few weeks. The second opportunity will be Gulliver's Travels.
ANNOUNCEMENT:
Macbeth Quiz (Acts 1 and 2 and part of 3...specifics will be announced FRIDAY) and POETRY Quiz on TUESDAY 2-28-12.
The Poetry Terms with a STAR nest to them on the poetry page of the class website are necessary to review as those are the ones we have been discussing/taking notes on in class. An additional copy of the TPCASTT document is located on the poetry page as well.
