Monday 2-6-12

Macbeth Act 1 Read and WW Due today in class.

Today we looked at NEW student view of Saints on the Web so everyone was aware how to find assignments with the "new" version of SOTW.

New Announcements:
Due BLOCK day...watch Super Bowl Ads (http://www.usatoday.com/superbowl46/admeter.htm) and consider the following:

1. What ad(s) did you find most entertaining, and why?
(be specific and give details here)
2. What ad(s) did you find the most dull, and why?
3. Which ad(s) did you think were most effective, and why?
4. Which ad(s) were you most willing to share (email, tweet about) with a friend?
5. Which ad(s) featured well-known personalities? Why?
6. Which “techniques of persuasion” were used in each ad?
We will discuss in class on Block Day and do a Group Project in the library on Friday. Group Presentation in class Tuesday 2-14-12.


A history of Elizabethan England was presented. Parts were assigned and we started reading Macbeth aloud in class.
