We will discuss Short Stories...FOCUS on TONE and MOOD (last week's focus was primarily on Characterization with some tone/mood discussion)

Friday 12-2 and Monday 12-5 and Tuesday 12-6

Friday 12-2 We continued with presentations
Block 4 completed presentations and began to delve into the RATIONALE behind how the World State was made...looking first at page 223 ... population based on ICEBERG.

Monday 12-5
All blocks began where Block 4 was on Friday and also looked deeper at what MOND's plan was to create the "utopia"
Page 220 includes a passage discussing what was eliminated from the world...lists items that cause man vs self and man vs man conflicts...to create STABILITY
Students added to the list while I did a binder check
Presentations continued

Tuesday 12-6 RETREAT

Today we had a peer editing workshop for the Library Contest Paper.

I will read intro / thesis for papers that earned 70% or less on paper one. If you wish me to read yours, or read an intermediate draft, come by during tutoring time.

Final draft uploaded Sunday 11-20 8 PM ... bring rubric, draft, and peer editing papers (from today) back on Monday 11-21.

November 3rd we will be in the library to start our group project (group mates = table mates).

We will continue in the library Tuesday 11-15 and have an additional in-class work day Tuesday 11-29. Projects are due 11-30.

Friday 11-4 we will have our grammar quiz #2.
