Today we discussed PARTICIPLES and PARTICIPLE PHRASES from pages 523-524 in the Writers Choice Book.

EVERYONE NEEDS their WRITERS CHOICE BOOK in class all month of October.

Then...

Wall Street Journals were handed out
By table...pick an article for everyone at the table to read
Active read ... following Mortimer Adler's tips
Underline THESIS (#1 on white handout) by block day

Welcome to English 2 with Ms. MacVay

The blog will contain weekly posts with student assignments and due dates. As often as I can I will attach worksheets and rubrics to the blog entry (saves paper!). Write down due dates in your planner so that you have them in case you are unable to go online due to computer "issues".

Make it a habit to check the blog on a daily basis for assignments, instructions, announcements and messages! You never know, a bonus opportunity may be posted and you would not want to miss it!

Let me know if there is anything I can do to make the blog more user friendly - your opinion matters. The blog is only a good communication tool if both parties are utilizing it.
