Last DAY of class on Monday

We'll discuss the end of BNW and take our vocabulary TEST. Bring Brave New World, Your Vocabulary Book, a pencil (scantron) and a pen (sentences).

The Final Exam is Scheduled for WEDNESDAY 12-14-11. The Proctor list and room assignments will be posted on Monday and will be posted on my door as well.

Intersession Assignments will be posted Wednesday after school...after you successfully complete this semester!

Monday 12-5-11

Today papers were passed back and reminders given:
Brave New World completion due BLOCK DAY

Outside Reading BLOG due 12-8-11 ... if we do not meet for class...it is still due so I can give you feedback by Friday 12-9-11 ... bring before school, at lunch or after school...or between classes

Today we started vocabulary Unit 15 Synonyms and Antonyms page 169

The LAST week of classes...week of December 5th

Next week we'll review Vocabulary lessons 13-14-15 for Friday's Multiple Choice Quiz as well as review ALL lessons for the test on 12-12-11.

We'll also discuss Brave New World. Stay current with the reading...we'll act out scenes and discuss key concepts all week!

See me during TUTORING TIME if you have questions about Final Exam concepts.

You can rewrite 1 paper each semester...due the last day of class (in class ... no exceptions) 12-12-11. If you wish to do so, your rewrite MUST be turned in with your original rubric/assignment (no re-write w/o this. The changes (sections) must be highlighted so I know what to go back over.

Friday 12-2-11

We completed Vocabulary Book pages 154 and 163. Then we discussed Brave New World.

The Diary of Anne Frank is playing in Chula Vista

at the OnStage Playhouse now through SUNDAY DECEMBER 4th. Mr. Haggerty just informed me about the play...he was told it was superb!

I you attend the play and want a bonus you must: get a playbill, your ticket, take notes after the show and bring in everything on Monday. I'll give you an assignment that you can return for your BONUS...applied to the HOLOCAUST TEST SECTION OF THE GRADEBOOK.
