Today in class we shared Summer Reading projects and completed and corrected Vocabulary Book Lesson 1 Choosing the Right Word.
REMEMBER: Quiz Friday - Multiple Choice - Definitions, Synonyms, Antonyms, and Filling in the Blanks
After we discussed the Character Chart and how to provide THOROUGH textual evidence to support a response.
We also discussed Mitch Albom's use of flashbacks:
Why he may have used them
What they provide the reader
Why they are in italics vs normal font for the "real time" text
Block 4 was given the conflict chart but did not work on it
Block 4 did not get to How to Mark a Book
Block 6 - same as block 4
Blocks 3 we got as far as blocks 4 and 6
Block 5: - same as 4-6-3 PLUS had a discussion on cultural expectations of men in relationship to the CHARACTER MITCH
